Pedaler’s Jamboree – The Ride Returns!
We can not be happier that spring has sprung! Vaccinations are rolling out fast and furious, and spirits are rising with the return of social events and small festivals later this summer! Plus, it is the perfect time to get back on your bike and ride!
This Labor Day Weekend the Katy Trail will be the perfect place to reunite with all of your cycling friends that have been endlessly waiting for a great party ride. The bands are ecstatic to perform for you, and the towns along the trail are eager to host! Throughout the planning of the event, we are focused on doing what we can to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in our communities.
Bicyclists depart from Columbia, MO, on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 4th from Flat Branch Park (101 S 4th St, Columbia, MO 65201). Drop off your overnight packs at check-in and prepare for a weekend of relaxed bike riding, music, and fun. Enjoy the scenic views of the Katy Trail State Park as you ride on crushed limestone trails flanked by cliffs and the Missouri River. Stop at your convenience at a handful of locations to enjoy live music and entertainment. Bands will play throughout the day in communities across the trail.
The final destination, Jefferson City’s brand new amphitheater at Ellis-Porter Park will host the feature events with main stage music. Overnight camping is available and free for all registered riders! Hotel/motel accommodations are available at local establishments. There will be food available at restaurants throughout the town of Jefferson City as well as food vendors at the park.
For non-riders with ticket passes to the amphitheater festivities, gates open at 5 pm on Saturday, Sept. 4th. Ellis Porter Park is located at 1425 Riverside Dr, Jefferson City, MO 65101. Free street side parking will be located nearby.
